Welcome to Ian Weightman Media Services (IWMS) – a company which specialises exclusively in travel, tourism and destination PR, and provides virtually 'round-the clock' press & PR support to a wide range of clients.

Utilising a background in journalism, Ian Weightman has provided press & PR support to tourism destinations, attractions, accommodation providers and nation-wide consortia for the past 20 years. While several clients have retained IWMS continuously for more than 14 years, nearly all IWMS clients have been generated as a result of referrals and recommendations – either by other clients, or by national travel editors.

Collectively, our list of clients also helps to provide IWMS with an exceptionally high profile amongst the travel media - both domestically and internationally.

In addition to a data-base of hundreds of media contacts within the UK, IWMS also now manages media lists for numerous overseas markets, including the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and parts of Scandinavia. Domestically, IWMS works in close co-operation with the Visit Britain and Visit England press offices. Close contact is also maintained with the British Guild of Travel Writers, the Outdoor Writers Guild, and similar media groups.

Internationally, IWMS is proud to possess a unique and very special relationship with both Visit Britain and Visit England.

Also able to draw on other travel media and social network media specialists, we pride ourselves on tailoring PR campaigns to both the marketing requirements and target markets of clients – while also ensuring that work carried out reflects changing circumstances and any new opportunities that may arise.
